Furrow Privacy Policy

Overview

Furrow is a private faith companion app. Your privacy is fundamental to our design. We store your personal data on your device, not on our servers.

Data Stored on Your Device

All of the following data is stored locally on your iPhone and never uploaded to our servers:

• Your display name and theological tradition preference
• Journal entries (prayers and reflections)
• Struggle categories and logs
• Daily check-ins (mood, gratitude, prayer requests, reflections)
• Chat conversation history
• Streak and usage data

You can delete all of your data at any time from the Settings screen within the app.

AI Chat Feature

When you use the AI companion chat, your messages are sent to Anthropic's API through our secure proxy server to generate responses. This includes:

• Your chat messages in the current conversation
• A summary of your recent app activity (journal themes, struggle patterns, check-in mood) to personalize responses

We do not store your messages on our servers. Messages pass through our proxy and are sent directly to Anthropic for processing. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their privacy policy. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models.

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name, email, or contact information
• We do not use analytics or tracking services
• We do not serve advertisements
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties
• We do not collect device identifiers or location data

Subscriptions

Furrow offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions managed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not process or store any payment information. Subscription management is handled by Apple under their privacy policy.

Children's Privacy

Furrow is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above.
